About Us

We are passionate about our puppies!

I grew up with my mom raising Schnoodles and joined her in raising this great breed. I have continued to breed Schnoodles throughout the years and our family loves every minute we get to spend with our sweet dogs.  We specialize in raising Schnoodles that are healthy, intelligent, well socialized and small to medium in size. Occasionally, we are blessed with a litter of beautiful  little Schnoodle babies. When we have these little  bundles of puppy love they become a large part of our family and we  believe that the only way to raise an outgoing, well socialized puppy is  to include them in the everyday life of the family. Our puppies are  truly a part of our family and spend many hours with us as they grow.  The puppies are raised in the main part of our home and are continually  exposed to everyday noises, children, many people, and other dogs.

Schnoodle History

  • It is believed that a dog with Schnoodle heritage was first created in England and known as the Truffle Dogs. It is believed that Toy Poodles were crossed with small dogs from the Terrier family to create this new dog. These dogs specialized in hunting Truffles. Truffles were very valuable and gathering them often required trespassing on others land and thus was done at night. These dogs were very helpful in locating the Truffles in the dark of the night.
  • The first known crossing of the Poodle and the Schnauzer in America was in the 1980s. It is believed that this first occurrence of purposeful cross-breeding, to create a Schnoodle, was done in Minnesota.
  • While in England, Schnoodles or Schnoodle-like dogs may have been bred in the past to create dogs to help gather Truffles, but in America the modern day Schnoodle is bred purely as a companion dog.

Things to know about Schnoodles

  1. The Schnoodle is very loyal to his family, affectionate,  extremely intelligent, easily trained, clever, friendly, fun loving,  with plenty of personality! They are good with children and get along  fine with other animals. They are great watchdogs because they will let  you know when someone is near, but they are non-aggressive. They love  car rides. This great companion dog also can make an excellent therapy  dog, but above all else they are a loyal and loving companion! They  would be fine in an apartment or on a farm, as long as they are with  their family. These dogs are so loyal and affectionate they would not be  happy kept outdoors.
  2.  Schnoodle Temperament:  Schnoodles are a mix of personalities from the Schnauzer and Poodle. Like the Schnauzer, they are alert and playful. Like the Poodle, they are highly intelligent, and well-tempered. The combination of the two produces an easily trainable, energetic and friendly mix.
